Sep 26, 07:55 PM: Show ending (Q'Lube/SSRR)

Tonight is the last night for Sex, Sports, & Rock-n-Roll trivia at Quaker Stake & Lube. The regular show on Sundays at 8pm is sill on but after tonight there will be no Friday shows anymore. Its really too bad to since the G-Man doesn’t do trivia on home game weekends there will be no trivia on those Fridays at all now.

I’ll have to find a new show so stay tuned to this page or the Team Trivia PA blog for future announcements.

Jun 19, 03:18 PM: 6 days a week

You can now catch me 6 days a week hosting Team Trivia games!

Note that the shows are at different time each evening. Two are a little early 7pm, two are at the traditional time 8pm, and two are “late night” 10pm. If you can’t make it to one of these shows then you just don’t like trivia.

On July 10th I’ll open our first Bloomsburg PA show at Harry’s Grille. I’ll host this Thursday night at 8:00pm show myself for the first few weeks, just until we can hire and train a host for that area. I’m hoping to have 3-4 shows in that area by this fall so it would make a great part-time job for someone who lived up there. Let me know if you know anyone.

I’m also looking for a venue to host non-smoking Team Trivia. All of our current State College locations are great places to play Team Trivia and the only negative I ever hear is there are a few folks that would like a non-smoking venue. It will be a little tough to fit another show into our schedule but I think the right location would do very well advertised as ‘no smoking’. If you think of a good place let me know.

May 13, 08:09 AM: Champs 5/13/2008

Sorry guys, not show tonight at Champs. Game three of the Pens/Flyers series is on tonight same time we would normally have trivia. I hate missing trivia but I’m super happy for the Penguins.

May 7, 02:30 AM: New Show – the Dark Horse

I’m starting a new show today at the Dark Horse Tavern in downtown State College. The show itself is not new but the time is. My game will begin at 7:00pm which is an hour later than the old show, that’s why I had to take over for Trivia Gerry, he does the G-Man show that same night.

It should be fun! If you do come down enter from the Calder Way side not the Collage Ave. Be sure and get the MySpace answer from Trivia Steve’s blog before you head out.

May 1, 04:37 AM: Sad & Lonely

You might have noticed I removed one of my recent postings, the one from Apr-21 titled circle of life. The post announced that friends of mine had become pregnant. I removed it when I learned that they had lost the pregnancy. Follow either of the above links to Yaz’s blog and her words for yourself.

Having just lost a very dear friend, expecting a new baby was somehow comforting but now I find myself very sad. You know that feeling you get when you are almost going to cry but you don’t actually? Its weird I feel broken in a way, neither of these things happened to me per say and that is making me feel guilty for being so sad which of course makes me feel even worse. This will pass I guess. If I seam distant its because I’m not really here, my heart and mind are with the people who have lost so much more than I have.

Jan 30, 01:34 AM: Trips & State of the Union

Where to begin? I’m headed down to Atlanta in March, dates are on the calendar. Before that trip at the end of the month my friend Judson will be come up here for his first visit at the beginning of the month.

Things are going well here. Trivia has gotten off to a big start; I can’t wait to get a couple of more shows.

New Years Resolutions are off to a very slow start. I’m just getting over a killer of a cold so January is pretty much a wash at this point but I hope for a re-launch of my goals in February.

More soon.

Jan 9, 04:36 AM: Resolutions 2008

My main and most important resolution for 2008 is to lose weight. I absolutely believe that this is the key to health happiness and success for me. My goal is to lose 100lb this year. 100 doesn’t seam like that big a number but as I understand it you can only expect to safely lose about 10lb/month, also once I start a regular exercise regiment I should building muscle which will put on weight so a net lose of 100lb should have a dramatic effect on how I look and feel. My plan to achieve this goal is pretty simple.

  • Track Weight Weekly
  • Exercise Daily
  • Change (Improve) Diet

In addition I’m looking for help from my family and friends. Lets face it if this was something I could do on my own I would have done it by now. I’ll take help in any way I can get it. Talking to me and being supportive will be key, this will also help me to stay on track. Also if you have time to eat or exercise with me that will be great. I rarely over eat when I’m with other people so the more meals I eat with family and friends the better I’ll do. For exercise its not like you have to go to the gym with me for hours but going for walks, working in the yard, ice skating, anything physical would be good for me.

I need to either dig out my scale or find one that I can consistently use. I’ll post updates here on the site at least once a month. Any advice or suggestion feel free to post here or email me. I’m interested in weight watchers, nutria-system, etc. I’d really like to just have surgery but I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.

Nov 6, 03:01 PM: Back to work

I’m happy to announce that I’m back working for Team Trivia again! This time I’m working for Trivia Steve in central PA. Steve owns the local franchise here so it’s still the same company and same game. I don’t have any full time shows yet right now I’m just helping out learning the setups and doing cover shows. I’ll post times and locations for all my shows here as soon as I get them scheduled.

BTW...

HOLY CRAP, Grif had a baby!
