I found this scan of Batman’s new movie costume on Hawk’s blog, which link to this site, which is actually an Ain’t it cool article.

I liked the costumes in Batman Begins and I like the look of this one. Although I didn’t like the way the cape/cloak was a flat black as apposed to the rest of the armor it just didn’t match properly. I can’t really tell from this picture what the cloak is like but it looks like it will drape a little better than the first one so that’s a plus!

Jun 13, 08:02 AM: sci-fi movie test
Have you ever had someone say to you “I saw that movie, it was good” then watch the movie only to find that it sucked? The problem is that what is good to one person is not necessarily good to the next person or as I like to say “most people are idiots.” What you need is a short list of qualifying question to determine if that person’s opinion is any good.
First of all we need to narrow the field. Movies in general is just too wide a topic, someone made be a good judge of drama or sports movies but know nothing about comic book adaptations or talking dogs. We are going to focus on sci-fi movies for our first set of questions. Next we need to clarify that we are gauging quality of movies not super geekdom. It was already suggested ask “have you ever stood in line to see a movie at midnight opening day?” This would determine your devotion as a fan but not necessarily that you have any taste.
The only good sci-fi question I have come up with so far is…
Q: How old where you when you saw the original Star Wars for the first time?
A: If the person learned to drive before they saw Star Wars you can disregard their opinion on sci-fi movies from here on out. Exception: if they learned to drive prior to 1977 in which case they would have needed to see the movie in the theater.
Ok so now we just need 4 more questions. The floor is now open for discussion.

May 27, 02:00 AM: Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (review)
I really enjoyed P3! I would say that it is almost on par with the original. The movie is full of humor and action, which has moved toward the adult end of the spectrum, and the silliness that I disliked in P2 is gone. The story had a Baron Munchausen feel to it, not quite as fantastic but getting there.
I only have two real criticisms. The story itself seams to be a little understated. As we sat discussing the flick afterwards I noticed that there was a lot of “why was…” being asked or explained. Every character had his own agenda but if you weren’t paying close attention you might not realize it. The other thing is they still didn’t get the Captain Jack “...and then they made me their chief,” magic from the first movie. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s just the kind of thing that can be reproduced?
Rating: I give it 4 out of 5, if your headed to the theater anyway I’d defiantly see this one. I don’t think it will loose anything on the small screen so if you can wait do that but I would defiantly see it one way or another.
BTW – Thanks to Jason & Yaz for the invite, I would have probably waited for the DVD otherwise.

Spiderman 3 by AGLite!
hehe, OK I have not seen it yet but from what I’ve heard this is a pretty accurate summary. I’ll post my own review once I see it. I don’t have high hopes, with 3.5 major super villains this movie looks to be going the way of the old Batman series.
