Tomorrow is ‘Talk like a Pirate Day’ so try to greet everyone with a hearty “Ahoy matey!” International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) was invented in 1995 by John “Ol’ Chumbucket” Baur and Mark “Cap’n Slappy” Summers, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate.

Personally I think this is a great excuse to call off work strap on your eye patch and parrot and drink rum all day. Not everyone can do that so throwing out an “Arrr!” every once in a while will do. Arrrg yes, it’s a pirate’s life for me cuz like me dad has always said, the best of being a pirate is you can get drunk and pee in the ocean!
