This is the background history for a character I created for a Star Wars based role-playing game. I’ve used this character in at least 3 different games and rewrote and expanded his history each time.

Gannon Starwolf

Gannon comes from a small forest planet call Aregon (air-a-gone). The people of Aregon are a very spiritual tribal community with a fair amount of technology but no space flight or energy weapons. A few years before he was born a droid army invaded the planet, killed or imprisoned the people, and began depleting it of its natural resources. Very few of Gannon’s people remain free those who are, including Gannon and his Grandfather, fight against the empire trying the free their planet before it’s completely destroyed.

All of Gannon’s equipment seams old and worn but is in very good condition. He has long black hair and very tan skin. His blue eyes are so dark that they appear to be black. On the back of his left shoulder is a birthmark in the shape of a wolf’s paw. On Gannon’s world force users are called shaman and are considered ‘touched’ by the spirits. Gannon believes himself to be touched by the wolf spirit. After the initial invasion the droids rounded up everyone that had been touched by the spirits, including Gannon’s parents, and executed them. Gannon’s Grandfather had taken him deep into the woods to hide him from the droid army.

The few people who did manage to avoid the droids began to organize into resistance cells to fight them. These cells stayed small and mobile to avoid capture and used guerilla tactics against the droid troopers. Unfortunately they have done little to drive the droid army out but have managed to slow them down. Most of these raids yield new supplies and technologies for the rebels. Gannon grew up riding stolen speeder bikes and using blasters. As a necessity he has learned a lot about explosives, demolitions, computers, droids, and sabotage.

Eventually the rebels made off world contacts but mostly with smugglers and racketeers. Thru these contacts they are able to purchase weaponry to fight the droids. Gannon and his Grandfather had met with some smugglers and were buying weapons when they were attacked by a droid patrol. Gannon was cut off by cannon fire and had no choice but to escape with the smugglers.

The next several months were spent on the smuggler’s freighter. He hid for about 3 weeks before they found him he then spent another 6 months on board doing all the dirty nasty jobs they could think of, but at least he traveled and was able to find parts to fix R2-C0 with.

The freighter finale landed on Corasant. The large city/planet just over whelmed him and almost from the moment he stepped off the ship he felt that someone or something was watching him. After about 3 weeks he could not take it anymore and boarded a ship for the outer rim.

Gannon spent nearly a year planet hopping on the outer rim before arriving on Tatooine. There He lived in Ancherhead where he had been working as a guide and general laborer. It’s been two years since he last saw his grandfather Gannon’s goal is to find help for his people and then find away to return home and drive out the droid army.
